DeltaWing-70 for The Boat House Bristol

The Boat House apartments and the refurbishment of the historic Purifier House, a Grade ll Listed building which was an old gasworks, form part of the redevelopment of Bristol Harbour.

Sunscreen panels were incorporated into the Boat House design to reduce the potential solar gain from the glazed frontage at penthouse level.  As a result, the apartments were built without air conditioning which helped contribute to the project’s BREEAM or EcoHomes ‘Excellent’ rating.

The framed panels were made from DeltaWing-70 so that the angled louvres would provide a diffused light. Cantilevered brackets made from profiled plate supported the panels.
