Overhead Line Protection for Crossrail at Abbey Wood site
Panels of Torino-11, measuring 3100x1500mm, have been supplied as part of the latest construction work at the Abbey Wood site of the Crossrail project.
The grating panels were mounted on top of acoustic blockwork to complete the protective barrier for the overhead line equipment (OLE or OHLE). The small aperture of the Torino-11 grating was in compliance with railway regulations for OLE protection of <1200mm2. The posts were specially designed as extensions to the supports for the acoustic blockwork creating a final structure 6200mm high.
