LF PLSS 11X66 stainless steel floor grating Kings Cross 5

Redevelopment and Landscaping of Kings Cross Square

An important aspect in the redevelopment and landscaping of Kings Cross Square was the inclusion of an extensive outdoor seating area for travellers. Six large granite benches, stepped to create a double tier, with inset panels of stainless steel grating and planted with mature Plane trees, were designed to provide the maximum amount of seating and summer shade.

The grating panels by Lang+Fulton had a mesh of 11×66/25×2mm and were supplied in a satin finished stainless steel. The panels were shaped with cutouts to accommodate the tree planting, adjacent watering points and up-lighters.
