Brand new building at William Street in the City of London
A £25m project for Beltane Asset Management has created a brand new building from the bones of an existing one at 24 King William Street in the City of London. With minimal demolition, the design for this prominent site has recycled the existing structural frame behind an entirely new façade of glass and Portland stone. Two new floors of dramatic office space and a viewing terrace have been added by relocating service plant to the roof of the building.
Lang+Fulton have supplied 212m2Â of Piazza-66 grating panels so that the air conditioning and ventilation plant are visually screened from adjacent buildings. The panels, which were designed for a maintenance load with restricted access, were clamped to a steel framework and supplied in a galvanized and ppc finish RAL 7022. The contract included 34m2Â of PL-33×66/40×2 floor grating as an open decked area to the floor below.
