BBC Scotland car park Pacific Quay in Glasgow
Lang+Fulton worked closely with Keppie Design to provide the perimeter security and car park screening for BBC Scotland’s HQ. The impressive building benefits from a river front location at Pacific Quay in Glasgow, an old dockland area impressively regenerated with museums and hotels.
Framed panels of Stereo-4 grating were chosen to enclose the ground level of the covered car parking, not only to meet the required high level of security but also to complement the remarkable glass façade of David Chipperfield Architects’ competition winning scheme.
The grating was installed with a secondary galvanized cladding panel to form a visual screen around a section designated for storage.
Lang+Fulton also supplied 141 linear metres of Roma-4 fencing, providing continuity of design.
The car park panels and fencing were supplied in a durable hot-dip galvanised finish for the exposed position, adjacent to the river Clyde.
