Football stadium at Hampden Park, Lesser Hampden
The transformation of the football stadium at Hampden Park into a world class athletics venue was the centrepiece of the XX Commonwealth Games that was held in Glasgow.
The adjacent facility at Lesser Hampden, the Queen’s Park Football Club training ground, was also upgraded to provide a warm-up area for track and field athletes. An Italia-100 louvred fence was installed around the perimeter to screen the activities of the athletes from public view.
Lang+Fulton also supplied a balustrade manufactured from open mesh steel grating for the Pavilion balcony.
