The Gallery Cambridge - Balcony Balustrade
The Gallery is a stylish collection of apartments and penthouses close to Cambridge city centre. The Taylor Wimpey development was designed with a mixture of retro and contemporary chic to appeal to younger buyers.
Lang+Fulton was asked to supply 148 framed panels for the balcony balustrade. Terra-34 with a 34x100mm aperture grating was specified to comply with the NHBC’s guidelines for anti-climb balustrades of <35mm width mesh.
The contract also included security grilles for the ground level parking area and wall-fixed panels to act as plant trellising. These were made from Stereo-3 grating with a larger 62x132mm mesh.
The panels were supplied in a hot-dip galvanised finish, preserving an aesthetic integrity with the other natural materials used on the exterior.
