Prendergast Vale College in London Borough
Prendergast Vale College is a co-educational school in the London Borough of Lewisham. In 2012 it was refurbished and developed at a cost of £21 million. The award-winning practice of Macfarlane+Associates created a series of varied, age-specific, landscape spaces within the restricted urban site.
A bespoke, secure by design, version of the Roma-4 grating fence was specified for the perimeter boundary.
In order to achieve an anti-climb fence, which would provide the required level of security, the standard horizontal framing bars were replaced with right-angled sections which were welded to the back of each panel 100mm from the top and bottom. The exposed vertical flat bars formed an attractive anti-climb feature.
Gates: fitted with self-closing devices and electric locks.
Finish: galvanized & polyester powder coated RAL7016
