Edinburgh Tram Extension to pass Stereo-Kinetic® Facade

Councillors have voted to approve a 3-mile extension to Edinburgh’s tram system, which will take the line from the North of the City to the airport. The construction project will take place in phases over the next four years.

The proposed route will pass Ocean Terminal with its dynamic STEREO-KINETIC® Wall facade. The articulated system of stainless steel tiles shimmers and ripples in an ever-changing display of reflected light.

The tram line will deliver segregated cycle lanes, as well as maximised space for pedestrians, and is needed to meet an expected increase of 109,000 in Edinburgh’s population by 2039.
